The Gentoo Sailing Team environmental initiatives are at the core of our team. We are striving to prove that being sustainable does NOT come at a cost to performance, but rather excels our innovation and impact.

Sailing is a perfect platform to promote sustainable technologies, lifestyle choices, and wider environmental messages.

Our aim is simple:

Through partnerships and our own initiatives, by 2028 we want to have mapped world-leading ocean data around the planet. We will measure elements of climate change, pollution, and disappearing biodiversity. Our efforts contribute towards the the UN Ocean Decade of Science for Sustainable Development led by the UNESCO-IOC (Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission) to advance global ocean science, foster sustainable development and protect marine ecosystems through collaborative research and innovation. 

The result: inform policy makers and drive change in the way our international waters are governed.
